Can You Commit to Yourself? : 5 strategies to try to improve your health and wellness
I’m a workaholic. I get validation from working hard and seeing results. It could be why in all the different avenues of working in theater, I most enjoy the part where you do something (through advertising or marketing or promotion) and you sell tickets as a result. I need to know what I am doing renders success or failure.
Beyond work, I’m the mother of three children. They are all so very different with a variety of passions and pitfalls that I oversee daily. In the past year alone, I’ve taught one to drive, the youngest to read and the middle one to wear her Invisalign (or I will make her life miserable).
And in my free time, I’m a connector. Whether matching people to further their business or helping people find jobs, it makes me feel good to see one introduction lead to an interview or a new client or even a new career for someone.
But while I am busy at the service of others, (and don’t get me wrong, I live for that), I am continually putting myself at the bottom of the list.
